Mahip Gupta is a Director with Aurtus. Previously, he was a Tax Partner with Dhruva Advisors Singapore from 2016 to 2023, and in a similar role at PricewaterhouseCoopers Singapore from 2012 to 2016.

Mahip has more than 25 years of experience in advising clients from various Industries on a wide range of international and local tax and business issues. His experience includes dealing with international and local tax planning, funds advisory and set up, business structuring, negotiating tax incentives, due diligence, tax controls, tax compliance, GST and transfer pricing.

Mahip also brings valuable in-house tax experience from Standard Chartered Bank, where he was Global Tax Lead of Private Equity, Funds and other international businesses working with a multi-disciplinary team to provide robust governance and support for various successful deals. 

​

He has assisted business associations and government agencies in lobbying for tax law changes, drafting of tax legislation and training of revenue officers. Mahip’s current and past clients include various MNC groups including those in financial services, IT, energy, mining, manufacturing and logistic sectors. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), where he was placed amongst the top 20 rank holders in both stages of exams. Mahip is also a member of Singapore Chartered Tax Professionals. More recently, he completed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Programme.
